Hi there. I hope you dont minde me using english in your forum. But since i´m from sweden i dont know any finnish. So anyway. The sled is a 03 Firecat snopro that i have done som minor mods on. Sutch as: * Camoflage paninted hood * Camoflage paintet handprotektors * Apex handlebar * Warrior dropbrakets * Boggie setback * EXT skid rails * 385*32*51 track * Mountain cat skiis * Black flyscreen * 3" inch handlebar riser * Home made tube frame * Mountain cat snowflap (only for showing what brand it is when its under the cover on the "vagon"?) * Green springs in the front * White a-arms * Boondocker nitrus * Green paintet APV ports * Black cylinderheads * Hight polich engine compartment... ? * Black light screens * Black scoop * Anti slippers spockets (dont know the name) * Modified cooling system * Cloutch kitt And this is whats left to do: * Extra gas holder in the rear * Snowboard mount on the tunnel * "modified light weight" skid * Ported track * Xeon lights * Apex gas throttle * Lefty gas * "boondocking bar" (burkrem in swedish) and mutch more. Hope you got the bad enlish=) PICS TO THE PEOPLE: Please answer in english (or swedish if you can)... Thanx!
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Nice project! How much it weights? Green cats in the camoflage are tricky 8)
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Thx, i was starting to woary that nobody would answer just becose i dont know you language. It weights about 3 kilos more than stock (the tunnel) but i´m quessing that the snow will just "fall right throu" insted of getting stuck on the runningboards, so i hope i´ll get the kilos back then
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Is it black steel or stainless in the frame? It´s bit of dangerous if you leave the side of the tunnel open? Your leg can go to traction ???
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Looks awesome! There seems to be few bars at the side, to prevent your legs slipping in to tunnel... but it still might be possible. And I´m pretty sure that if you get your leg in there, it won´t be getting out as easily... : But it´s sure that snow wont get stuck in to that tunnel
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel I think that it looks gorgeous in camosuit with those tricky green catheads!! Now you just have to give a thick coat of clearcoat to your hood to bring a nice shine to it! I totally understant your philosophy of that pipemade backframe, but I would DEFFINITELY cover those side holes from it. It wouldn`t be nice to lose your legs if they would fall thru those holes and hit to the traction. :-\ Other than that, ìt looks great!
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Mabye some plastic would be good to cover the tunnel. I would install some inside the frame so that it dont cover that good looking frame. And it is slippery too so snow wont get stuck to it either.
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel that tunnel will be full of snow when it's warmer outside. Trust me, I know. Awesome project still. Keep us posted.
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Hi k-len, welcome back You have been busy in garage... looking good. What is that track? Originally 32wide?
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Awesome cat! I like that rough look, kinda rat look.. Cat's like the rats, so dont get eated.. ;D Are you planning some more engine mods, like turbo...?
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Very nice! I also like color theme. Need only more boost...
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel vi**u en ossaa sepostaa mitää englantia tai ruottia mut makian näkönen catti ;D jääköhän tuo telatunneli tuolleen auki.. suomentakaa sille jos haluatte ;D
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel k-len, mara is wondering if you are going to leave the tunnel open like that ? and i wonder about the strenght of the tunnel you say its about 3 kilos heavier, but is is as strong and stiff ? work quality looks great though if you are going to cover the track side of the tunnel with thin polycarbonate or thin alum alloy would be a good material to do so and still it would be light you may criticize, but i think more appreciation to the edges of urban camo painting should have been done...
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Looks great 8) How many horsepowers should this cat release?
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Very very nice cat! I'm little bit jealous. Have you paint those hoods by yourself? Tjsp ;D
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel _NitrO_ : Its steel, and no. I wont leave it open. i have a plan... Arscars: thanx, but same here, i have a plan how to fix it MT: Clearcoat is going on, so no worrys. And as before... the tunnel will be fixed Yamppa: yes, the plan is to use a kind of plastic, but that is kinda coolar than regular plastic.... but yoy'll see what i meen Frosty: Thank you. and well, i thought about that. And i quess its becose the snow can grab "alround" the tubes? And if thats the case, i have some kind of plan to prevent the snow from grabbing on to easely. Zmpy: Hi there! Long time no... chat?;P well yes, i´m kinda stuck in the garage.... as usual. And no, the track is a stock 38 that i cut down to 32. eliäs: thank you=) Jakelfin: Thank you werry mutch, but no turbo on this one. But i am going to blueprint the engine and also do some other mods on it. But it will be about stock, except the cloutch kitt and gearing. But i AM negoseating (spelling?) about a couple of speedwerx twins, boondockerbox and a couple of v-force. aam: thank you, and yes i know. It needs a pusch in the engine, but only time will tell what will hapen Zr440: thank you werry mutch=) mara: no i wont, but it will still look cools though znood: I have already decided what to use to cover the tunnel. ANd yes i know, the edges of the camo isn´t the best, and i have already reedone it three times totaly. So i left it this way, and just before the clearcoat, i will try to sharpen them upp a bit. sokerikukko: no more than stock, but the boondocker is tuned in at about 50, so that would give med alround 185 when i´m going up. uNkki. Thank you werry mutch. And yes, i painted it myselt. But my girlfriend did the pattern
